Introductory Sample Class

Free (1hr)

Group Tutoring

$25/hr

  • Exclusively for students studying in Secondary Schools or those ready for group tutoring

  • Typically in a group of 2 or more students

  • Each class runs for between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the students' preference

  • Students will work with modern and classic materials from a wide range of diverse sources

  • Students will be expected to engage in class discussions to boost their critical thinking skills

  • Students will be given challenging assignments to work on both in class and at home (responding to writing prompts, writing formal essays, and reading thought-provoking materials)

  • There will be original writing lessons that will teach students how to enhance their writing style

  • All lessons on writing techniques and strategies are of original design, no need to buy any textbooks for this class (or any class for that matter)!

Private Tutoring

$35/hr

  • For any student who has a mature attitude towards their educational career

  • Exclusively one-on-one with no expectations

  • Each class runs for 1 - 2 hours and can meet any number of times per week, depending on the student's preference

  • Students will be given tailored-made lessons to suit their individual needs and purposes

  • Students will be expected to engage in class exercises (writing or other forms of practice) to show their understanding of the lessons given to them

  • Students will receive personally-made homework that matches with their schedule

  • Classes will be conducted to provide as much appropriate assistance as possible for whatever English-related task the student has. Examples include:

    • Lessons and preparations for AP English exams

    • Mock interviews and application consultation (excluding post-secondary institutions)

    • Supplementary brainstorming, discussion, and practice for school assignments

    • In-depth discussions and supportive exercises to help students comprehend and overcome challenging materials in their own English class at school

    • ...and more!

Post-Secondary Consultation (Canadian)

$50 per Session (1hr)

  • For Gr. 11 and 12 students who desire appropriate consultation for their post-secondary applications and preparations to Canadian institutions

  • Exclusively one-on-one with no exceptions

  • Classes will NOT involve the teacher writing anything for student other than necessary feedback

  • Each class runs for 1 hour and meets once or twice a week, depending on the student's preference

  • The priority of these sessions is to ensure that a student has the highest possible chance of fulfilling their post-secondary goals, with as little risk as needed

  • Students will work with in-depth brainstorming, planning, scheduling, discussions, and feedback for their post-secondary applications, as appropriate to their application's guidelines

  • For relevant faculties, students will also be expected to practice mock interviews and receive feedback on their responses

Online Course Companion

$35/hr

  • For any student studying a secondary school course online (ex. iLearn, VLN, etc)

  • Exclusively one-on-one with no expectations

  • Each class runs 1 - 2 hours and meets once or twice a week, depending on the student's preference

  • Each class will review assigned work from the student's course and provide cooperative brainstorming, in-depth discussion, and close feedback to ensure students are reaching their fullest potential

  • Students will be expected to complete drafts and other necessary work to the class' expectations, either in class or at home

  • Classes WILL NOT involve the teacher completing assignments or classwork that the student is responsible for

  • A free private class for both the tutor and student to become more antiquated with one other (*limited one per student*)

  • A introductory sample class will run for 1 hour and will include English writing, reading, and discussing exercises

  • The introductory sample class will assess the student's current skill with English to identify both areas of strength and improvements
  • Parents will be provided this assessment so to better understand what future classes can provide for the student
