Expectations

What are expected from students when attending classes? Just a few different things and general common sense!

We look forward to these behaviours from students in order to ensure a smooth learning experience for them! So long as students maintain these expectations for their classes, they will continue to receive as much assistance and help as required!

1. Open-Mindedness

Classes will often work with diverse materials, texts, and references. In addition, students will be exposed to a variety of new and original lessons that are not always found in standard English education. As such, students will be expected to be open-minded to all of these things and be willing to communicate in class to practice their critical thinking (one of the most important skills to have for succeeding in anything English-related).

2. Respectful Etiquette

Any writing or work will receive in-depth and professional feedback that ensures students are aware of what areas to improve on. Alongside that, classes may involve group discussions and responses to challenging questions. As such, students will be expected to have a respectful and mature etiquette to the best of their abilities.

3. Work Ethic

There will be in-class work and homework assignments for students to complete. These exercises allow students to practice their English writing, comprehension, and critical thinking skills, while providing themselves opportunities to receive feedback on their work. Therefore, students will be expected have a strong work ethic in order to finish anything that is necessary for their classes.
